Market Info

Harvest Mornings are Seeding Galveston’s weekly market at its urban farm location, 3318 Avenue N. Here you can buy the only Island grown produce available and take advantage of a mini-farm experience at the same time, visiting the goats and chickens, learning how year-round farming can thrive in the city and just taking a break from the usual Island hustle and bustle. The farm stand hours are 8 a.m. to 11, and the market staff will pick crops especially for you once the initial market selections are gone. Special amenities often include a coffee stand, fresh water with a hint of farm grown lime or mint, produce samples, recipe cards and more.

The farm is accessible for strollers, small children and well-behaved dogs on leashes. Visitors often bring their compostables to throw on the compost piles and stay to volunteer for an hour or so.

Some of our produce (collards, mustards, etc.) is priced at just $2 per overstuffed bag; other veggies are usually priced below conventional market standards. This pricing strategy enables us to maintain low prices for those on fixed or restricted incomes. Donations are appreciated and encouraged from those able to pay full market prices.

On occasion our chickens lay enough eggs to sell at the farm stand!
